Basketball Recap: Jordan Comes Up Short

Jordan was the 57-47 winner over Southern School of Energy and Sustainability when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons were dealt a 59-22 loss at the hands of the Spartans on Tuesday. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

Jakayla Palmer was her usual excellent self, going 6-for-10 on her way to 14 points and eight steals for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability. Palmer has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Ashlyn Hudson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Jordan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, they will welcome Southeast Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
