Soccer Recap: Garinger Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Independence on Monday, Garinger came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Marvin Ridge Mavericks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Garinger couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Jace Garrett, who's now up to six this season.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Marvin Ridge, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garinger will host Rocky River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Garinger are facing Rocky River at the right time seeing as Rocky River are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Marvin Ridge, they will be playing at home against Ardrey Kell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
