Volleyball Recap: Bellflower Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bellflower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Kennedy Fighting Irish. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Bellflower was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Kennedy work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 26-24.

Aalyah Trejo paced Bellflower's offense, picking up six kills. Trejo got some help from Valerie Rivas and her 15 assists. Trejo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bellflower's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kennedy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellflower will welcome California Academy of Math & Science at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will square off against Rosary Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
