Basketball Recap: Jay Comes Up Short

If Jay was feeling good fresh off their 74-49 takedown of Westville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jay Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 39-38 to the Grove Ridgerunners. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Ridgerunners are ranked 171st).

Jay's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Jay will challenge Salina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jay is facing Salina at the right time seeing as Salina is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Grove, they will face off against Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
