Soccer Game Preview: Buena vs. Pueblo

The Buena Colts will venture away from home to challenge the Pueblo Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Buena turned things around against Mica Mountain on Thursday. Neither they nor the Thunderbolts could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Colts' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Pueblo kept a clean sheet against Maricopa on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams, sneaking past 1-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Buena's draw gives them a new season record of 2-6-1. As for Pueblo, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6-1.

Buena was able to grind out a solid victory over Pueblo in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buena since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
