Soccer Game Preview: Wood vs. Benicia

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wood duke it out with the Benicia at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday... Wood's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Wood is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against American Canyon on Wednesday. Neither Wood nor American Canyon could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Benicia kept a clean sheet against Alhambra on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. Thomas Jouvenot-Sells had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Panthers got from the refs.

Jouvenot-Sells was the driving force of Benicia's attack as he scored both of Benicia's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

The victory got Benicia back to even at 2-2-1. Wood's draw gives them a new season record of 2-3-1.
