Baseball Game Preview: San Fernando Tigers vs. Poly Parrots

For the second straight game, San Fernando will face off against Poly. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Parrots at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, San Fernando didn't have quite enough to beat Poly and fell 4-3. The Tigers have struggled against the Parrots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Alex Torres put in work while hitting and pitching. He pitched 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Torres wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Rommeml Molina, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Poly has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for San Fernando, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
