Montgomery has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 7. They fell just short of the Windsor Jaguars by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Jaguars are ranked 176th).

Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-6. As for Windsor, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4-2.

As for Windsor, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Windsor face off against the Ukiah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Windsor's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
