Baseball Recap: Scranton Prep Comes Up Short

While it was Scranton Prep who put the first points on the board on Tuesday, it was Pocono Mountain East who put up more. The Scranton Prep Cavaliers fell just short of the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals by a score of 7-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

AJ Croom was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Raphael Thomas was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases.

Scranton Prep's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Scranton Prep will venture away from home to face off against Wyoming Seminary College Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pocono Mountain East, they will host Pleasant Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Pocono Mountain East's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
