Baseball Recap: Shanksville Stonycreek Comes Up Short

Shanksville Stonycreek came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Ferndale Yellow Jackets, falling 14-6. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 8-1.

Shanksville Stonycreek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Young, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Shanksville Stonycreek now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Ferndale, they moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.
