Softball Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Capital can now relate to. They lost 13-1 to the Big Sky Eagles on Saturday. The Bruins have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Capital saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Emmert, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Big Sky, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Capital does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Big Sky, they will challenge Billings Senior at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncs have averaged an impressive 11.8 runs per game this season.
