York entered their tilt with Lancaster on Tuesday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 7-4. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.

Peyton Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyvia Lingerfelt, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Kayla Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

York hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lancaster struck out eight times.

York pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lancaster, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

York will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lancaster: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
