Soccer Recap: Morris Takes a Loss

Morris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Ottawa Pirates. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Morris couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Grant Sparrow, who's now up to two this season.

Morris' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Ottawa, their record is now 9-5.

Morris didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against LaSalle-Peru on the 29th. As for Ottawa, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 defeat against Kaneland on the 29th.
