Football Recap: Owego Free Academy Comes Up Short

Owego Free Academy and Monroe squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Owego Free Academy had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Red Jackets. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the River Hawks, who until this matchup were averaging 13.85 points allowed.

Dylan Brace threw for 57 yards. On the ground, Lynkon Craft rushed for 31 yards.

A big part of Monroe's win came down to the chemistry between Pooty Cunningham and his top target Messiah Hampton. Cunningham threw for 307 yards and four TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes while Hampton gained 204 total yards.
