Basketball Game Preview: Stall Warriors vs. West Ashley Wildcats

Stall is 1-9 against West Ashley since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Stall Warriors will head out on the road to take on the West Ashley Wildcats at 8:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Stall is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ashley Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Swamp Foxes are ranked 40th).

Despite the defeat, Stall had strong showings from Donte Ward, who posted 24 points, and Jamir Sanders, who had 16 points.

Meanwhile, West Ashley waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Patriots 60-46.

Stall's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for West Ashley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Stall came up short against West Ashley in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 67-59. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of West Ashley's Damani White, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 22 points along with seven assists and four steals.
