Football Recap: Chuck Wynn Key Part of Team Effort in Knights Win

There's no place like home for Menlo School, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-6 victory over the Sacred Heart Prep Gators on Friday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

Menlo School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chuck Wynn out in front who rushed for 124 yards. That's the most rushing yards Wynn has posted since back in September of 2024. Merrick Ward helped out on the ground, rushing for 81 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Menlo School was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sacred Heart Prep only rushed for 88.

Menlo School's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

Menlo School wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-7 win against King's Academy on the 15th. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-48 victory against Carmel on the 14th.
