Basketball Recap: St. Croix Central Comes Up Short

St. Croix Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 60-45 bruising from the Osceola Chieftains. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-48 back in December of 2024.

St. Croix Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Osceola, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

St. Croix Central has already played their next contest, a 60-47 defeat against Northwestern on the 1st. As for Osceola, they will square off against Altoona at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. One thing working in Osceola's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
