Football Recap: Knoxville Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Montgomery Bell Academy + How To Watch

Knoxville Catholic faced Montgomery Bell Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Big Red by a score of 13-10. Despite 127 more yards than the Big Red, the Fighting Irish couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Mack Bartholomew threw for 200 yards and one touchdown. Tyreek King was his top target, picking up 103 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Kruise Buntyn, Jr. rushed for 88 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Knoxville Catholic fell to 3-1. As for Montgomery Bell Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knoxville Catholic will host Silverdale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montgomery Bell Academy, they will be playing at home against Baylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Big Red will need to watch out since the Red Raiders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
