Softball Recap: Albert Lea Tigers vs. Stewartville Tigers
Albert Lea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stewartville Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Albert Lea of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.
Maggie Olson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
Albert Lea's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Stewartville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albert Lea will challenge Faribault at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stewartville, they will head out on the road to square off against Kasson-Mantorville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stewartville is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
