Volleyball Recap: Borah Comes Up Short

Borah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Capital Golden Eagles. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Golden Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Emerson Kolb paced Borah's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kolb got some help from Emma McKinney and her 20 assists.

Borah's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Capital, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Borah will take on rival Kuna at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Capital is set to square off against their familiar foe Skyview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
