Soccer Game Preview: Chesterton vs. Crown Point

The Chesterton Trojans will square off against the Crown Point Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Chesterton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-4 margin over Portage. Winning may never get old, but Chesterton sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, Crown Point faced Lake Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs' defense stepped up to hand the Indians a 5-0 shutout. Addy Sabau was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Crown Point's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Chesterton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.

Chesterton suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Crown Point in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
