Basketball Game Preview: Ball Tornadoes vs. Texas City Stingarees

Ball and Texas City are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Ball Tornadoes will square off against the Texas City Stingarees at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Ball came up short against Jesuit and fell 50-40. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 434th in Texas, while the Tigers are ranked 74th in Florida).

Meanwhile, Texas City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alief Elsik.

Ball now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Texas City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Ball strolled past Texas City when the teams last played back in January by a score of 55-40. Will Ball repeat their success, or does Texas City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
