Volleyball Recap: Half Moon Bay Starts Season with Win at Home

Half Moon Bay took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Los Gatos Wildcats 2-1. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2016.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (61-56) Half Moon Bay actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-23, 16-25, 15-13.

Los Gatos' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Half Moon Bay and Los Gatos will both be playing Mills the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Vikings at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 10:45 a.m.
