Baseball Recap: Vale Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Vale finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell 6-1 to the Burns Hilanders. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Hilanders: they've now lost five in a row.

Vale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Burns, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vale will head out to take on Nyssa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burns, they will venture away from home to challenge Heppner/Ione at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hilanders surely won't give up without a fight.
