Recap: M.L. King Lions vs. Troup County Tigers
After losing to the Troup County Tigers the last time they met, the M.L. King Lions decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. M.L. King had just enough and edged Troup County out 52-50.
It was another big night for Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr., who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Brown, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
M.L. King has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Troup County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
M.L. King won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Callaway at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. Callaway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 338th, while M.L. King is ranked 105th). Troup County and Douglas County will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
