It was a proper cat-fight when Starr's Mill duked it out with Fayette County on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Starr's Mill never let Fayette County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-18.

Starr's Mill's offense was headlined by Kate Risley and Ember Ness, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Katie Gutshall and her 16 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sammie Brady, racking up two apiece.

Starr's Mill's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Fayette County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7.

Starr's Mill has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Strong Rock Christian on the 23rd. As for Fayette County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Eagle's Landing on the 23rd.
