With a playoff win on the line, Guyer rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the McKinney Lions a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for Guyer, bringing their record for this year to 9-7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for McKinney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8-7.

As of now, neither Guyer nor McKinney have any future games scheduled.
