Baseball Game Preview: Morton Potters vs. Geneseo Maple Leafs

The Morton Potters will face off against the Geneseo Maple Leafs at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Morton's favor as the squad sits on 13 straight wins at home while Geneseo has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

On Wednesday, Morton earned a 7-4 win over East Peoria.

Meanwhile, Geneseo came up short against East Moline United on Wednesday and fell 7-3.

Morton's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Geneseo, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-16.

Everything went Morton's way against Geneseo in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Morton made off with a 13-3 win. Will the Potters repeat their success, or do the Maple Leafs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
