Baseball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Lexington's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Lexington unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Sacred Heart Indians by a score of 4-3.

Cade Patschke was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Patschke was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Patschke wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Christian Smith, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Sacred Heart, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Lexington will be taking part in a tournament against Onalaska at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacred Heart, they will challenge Harvest Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
