Baseball Recap: Colfax Comes Up Short

Colfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 two weeks ago.

Drew Buchner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Colfax's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Durand-Arkansaw, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Colfax is set to face off against their familiar foe Glenwood City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Durand-Arkansaw will square off against rival Mondovi at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
