Recap: Mountain Grove Panthers vs. Ava Bears
The Mountain Grove Panthers and the Ava Bears squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Mountain Grove Panthers had to settle for second. Mountain Grove took a serious blow against Ava, falling 45-10. Mountain Grove's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Leading Ava to victory were Hunter Adams and Rylin Dickson. Adams rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, while Dickson gained 171 total yards and three touchdowns.
Mountain Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Ava, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Mountain Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ava will face off against Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
