Recap: Edison Vikings vs. Bear Creek Bruins
The Edison Vikings pushed their score all the way to 60 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Bear Creek. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), Edison still had to take the loss.
Edison lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kwazi Moses, who scored 20 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrell Tek, who scored 15 points along with six steals.
Edison's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-10. As for Bear Creek, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will face off against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Franklin: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Edison has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Bear Creek, they will face off against McNair at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Bear Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
