Baseball Recap: William Byrd Triumphs

William Byrd won the last time they faced Lord Botetourt and things went their way on Thursday too. The Terriers walked away with a 5-2 win over the Cavaliers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Terriers.

Tyler Chambers tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, William Byrd saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Courtemanche, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The victory got William Byrd back to even at 9-9. As for Lord Botetourt, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-8.
