Baseball Recap: Crismon's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Crismon won against Idaho Falls last Wednesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Crismon came out on top against the Eastmark Firebirds by a score of 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-2 last Tuesday.

Crismon got a great performance from Allan Hackett as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Hackett has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aaden Lopez and Kenny Wilsford did most of the damage at the plate: Lopez went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Wilsford went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Crismon, bringing their record up to 11-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eastmark, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crismon will face off against Combs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Combs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.1 runs per game on average), something Crismon will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Eastmark, they are taking a road trip to face off against Desert Sunrise at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Desert Sunrise will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Eastmark surely won't give up without a fight.
