Recap: Easley Green Wave vs. Greenville Red Raiders
The Easley Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. The contest between Easley and Greenville wasn't particularly close, with Easley falling 69-55. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Easley in their matchups with Greenville: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Crews, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Crews hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Patton, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Easley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Greenville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Easley will be playing at home against Berea at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Berea is ranked 160th, while Easley is ranked 150th). As for Greenville, they will head out on the road to challenge Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westside is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
