Battle Ground Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 72-60 win over the Butler County Bears.

Despite the loss, Butler County still got an impressive performance from Ty Price, who went 14 of 25 en route to 39 points and six rebounds. Price's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Briar Griffin, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points.

Battle Ground Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Butler County, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats challenge the Providence Christian Academy LIONS at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Battle Ground Academy likes a good challenge. As for Butler County, they will square off against Muhlenberg County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Butler County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 72.3 points per game this season.
