Baseball Recap: Westerville North Makes It Three in a Row at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Westerville North was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Hayes Pacers. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Pacers last Monday, they had to take a 15-0 loss.

Ethan Robinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Westerville North is undefeated when Robinson allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Robinson was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Emmerson Mason was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Westerville North's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Hayes, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
