Softball Recap: Marian Crusaders vs. Gretna Dragons
Marian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-7 to the Gretna Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 14-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.
Keely Robbins was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, she also racked up three hits, the mostshe's had since September 3rd. Brooklyn Kincaid was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Gretna, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 23-0.
Marian will square off against Omaha North on Tuesday. As for Gretna, they will host Waverly on Thursday.
