Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milford). They enjoyed a cozy 71-53 win over the Chrisman Cardinals on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chrisman's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Statler Mitchell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Gage Tingley, who posted ten points along with seven assists and three steals.

Milford's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-17. As for Chrisman, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Milford Bearcats challenge the La Salette Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Salette Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Milford surely won't give up without a fight. Chrisman has already played their next match (against Cissna Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
