Volleyball Recap: West Bend West Takes a Loss

West Bend West was the 2-0 winner over New Berlin West when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Vikings on Saturday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Bend West was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23.

Emmalee Heniadis paced West Bend West's offense, picking up six kills. Heniadis got some help from Ella Henschel and her ten assists. Laila Hertel and Morgan Winkler kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

West Bend West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for New Berlin West, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

West Bend West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Catholic Memorial on the 13th. As for New Berlin West, they will venture away from home to face off against Pius XI Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
