Monessen was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in WPIAL A Black Hills. The Greyhounds defeated Canevin Catholic 40-6 earlier in the week.

Brentwood scaled the state rankings by moving to 270 from 347 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Spartans climbed the ranks as a result of beating Chartiers-Houston 47-21.

Fort Cherry's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rangers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Heslin has thrown for 618 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Alex Babirad has 8 catches for 254 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Carlynton takes on the Buccaneers. The Cougars are currently in fifth, while Chartiers-Houston is in fourth.

California led WPIAL A Black Hills in scoring this week by notching 56 points on Serra Catholic.
