St. Marys waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Lincoln Cougars. With that victory, the Blue Devils brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Cali Masters made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brylee McGrady was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted over her last ten matchups. Another player making a difference was Ella Bullman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

St. Marys kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only managed six hits.

St. Marys pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Coming up, St. Marys will take on Wheeling Park at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Frankfort at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
