Softball Recap: Madison's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Madison can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Edgewood Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Mohawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 2-8-1. As for Edgewood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will take on Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Edgewood, they will venture away from home to challenge Middletown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Middies at the right time seeing as the Middies are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
