Basketball Recap: Oldham County Comes Up Short

Oldham County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Walton-Verona Bearcats. That's two games in a row now that the Colonels have lost by exactly three points.

Oldham County's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Walton-Verona, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-10.

Looking ahead, Oldham County will head out to face off against Shelby County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Shelby County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Walton-Verona, they will square off against Great Crossing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
