Basketball Game Preview: Searsport Vikings vs. Sumner Tigers

The Searsport Vikings will challenge the Sumner Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Searsport is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Friday, Searsport had to suffer through a 65-19 loss at the hands of Jonesport-Beals. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Sumner entered their contest against Mattanawcook on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Sumner took a blow against Mattanawcook, falling 86-36. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Lynx are ranked fifth).

Sumner's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3. As for Searsport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
