Softball Recap: Lenape Indians vs. Moorestown Quakers
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lenape ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Moorestown Quakers by a score of 13-8. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Quakers, too.
Camryn Shank was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 5-for-5. Ollie KLoy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-6.
Lenape was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moorestown only posted a batting average of .206.
Lenape's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Moorestown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.
Lenape and Moorestown will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Indians will face off against rival Shawnee at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Moorestown is set to take on their familiar foe Seneca at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
