Baseball Recap: North Comes Up Short

North blew Ridge Spring-Monetta out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Ridge Spring-Monetta got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 14-12. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Stetson Stack made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

North's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Williston-Elko on the 8th. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on King Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
