Baseball Recap: Solorio Comes Up Short on the Road Against Lincoln Park

Solorio kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 15-1 to the Lincoln Park Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Sun Warriors in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Solorio got a good showing from Uriel Olivares, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Solorio saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mauricio Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solorio will head out to face off against Stevenson at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln Park, they will venture away from home to take on Chicago Hope Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
