Volleyball Recap: Walnut Ridge Comes Up Short

Walnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Jonesboro Hurricane, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-6, 25-11.

Avery Mcpike was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and four assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last ten matchups. Payton Scott also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Walnut Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Jonesboro, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

Walnut Ridge has already played their next match (against Harrisburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Jonesboro, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Batesville on the 27th.
