Ladarrion Newell Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Starting off the list is Gary West Side's Ladarrion Newell, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Newell made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.

This year, Newell has averaged 6.5 total tackles per game.

Jayden Ortiz Delivers Electric Performance Vs Whiting

Jayden Ortiz's big game helped extend Wheeler's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Ortiz as he rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

Ortiz might have his next game, a home matchup with Griffith, circled on his calendar. When Ortiz last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.

Kamari Loggins Turns in Season-Best Effort

Gary West Side was led to victory by Kamari Loggins, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Loggins rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up 0.5 sacks and making four total tackles.

This season, Loggins has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 22 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Caleb Klimczak Leads Wheeler over Whiting

Wheeler was led to victory by Caleb Klimczak, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Klimczak threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.

For the year, Klimczak has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 214.5 passing yards per game.

Big Game from White As Whiting Fell 49-6

Rounding off our Top Five is Austin White of Whiting. White rushed for 130 yards, and also threw for 85 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 130 rushing yards.

Whiting is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. White will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against LaVille on Friday.
